Growing up, we are often told to dream big, dream loud. Go for our goals. Lead with our hearts.

But the tough reality is that we need to see others doing just that to help fuel our beliefs and really get what we want.

Just because the dream is in our hearts doesn’t mean that it’s going to be easy.

Sometimes, we need to see others just like us, growing up the way we did, who held tight to their dreams, pursued them relentlessly, and made a bigger impact on the world than we could possibly imagine.

These essays were collected with that purpose in mind. Seeing others achieve helps us believe in ourselves and chase our dreams.

Prizes will be announced at the second annual educational youth conference The Dream is in Your Hands.

The conference is a two-day event for youth providing insight, leadership and resources from national and international professionals.
