Michael Mayo (b. 1948) is the author of the Jimmy Quinn suspense novels, Everybody Goes to Jimmy’s and Jimmy the Stick. Other books include American Murder: Criminals, Crime and the Media, VideoHound’s Video Premieres, Horror Show, and War Movies. He has written about film for the Washington Post and the Roanoke Times, and was the host of the nationally syndicated radio programs Movie Show on Radio and Max and Mike on the Movies. He blogs about Prohibition-era New York at The Line Up and his website Mike-Mayo.com. After spending many years in icy New Jersey, he lives in North Carolina.
