Emily May grew up in a house full of books – her mother worked as a proofreader and librarian, and her father is a well-known New Zealand novelist. Her varied career includes a field assistant in Antarctica, a waitress on the Isle of Skye and she has worked in the wine industry in New Zealand. She enjoys travelling, yoga workouts, and reading.
