One great way to begin this process is to list a number of actions you feel you need to take in your life. Once you’ve done this, figure out the reasons why you haven’t taken these actions, and then ask yourself if those reasons have brought you more pain or pleasure—keeping in mind the future pain they might lead you to. Once you’ve done that, try listing all the pleasure you’ll get from completing the tasks. When you’ve done that, you’ll see that the pleasures outweigh the pains, and you’ll find yourself getting excited to tackle the challenges that lie ahead, knowing you now have the power to make the decisions you need to make
