Do Cool Sh*t

Why did I have to make this so hard for myself? Every time I go anywhere, my life turns into an action movie where I’m sprinting around, when it could very easily be a nice, slow-paced romantic French film. If only I’d leave one hour earlier.

In my opinion, raising money is one of those things that nobody truly enjoys doing (unless you’re raising money for someone else or for a cause). It’s hard to find investors, it screws with your ego, screws with confidence, usually takes so much more time than you imagined, and it’s total agony to wait while potential investors make up their minds. It’s one of the most challenging issues for any passion project. We have to remember that investors are people too and they have the right to be indecisive, and all we can do is put our best, most confident foot forward and reassure them that their investment is safe.
Raising money can also be one of the most exciting experiences. When someone hands you a check because they believe in you and they believe in what you are pouring your heart into, it validates everything!

1. Anything is possible if you set your mind to it.
2. Freaking out never helps.

I decided that rather than jumping right into the next thing like an excited puppy, I had to pause and contemplate my next move.

Step outside your situation and imagine what (seemingly crazy) ways you can come up with to solve your problem. Maybe the first couple of ideas you have won’t work, but my bet is you’ll stumble across a workable solution using this method.

You’ll find that most people will do what they can to help others fulfill their dreams; it’s a powerful feeling.

If you don’t have a product you believe in and is worth waking up for in the morning and feeling a sense of purpose toward, you’re not doing cool shit.

A great life is an ever-evolving life.

The only thing stopping you from doing cool shit is yourself. Don’t rely on outside events or other people to make things happen. Put your head down, focus on your vision, and work, work, work.
