Given our passion for history, architecture, and art, we always visit old religious buildings wherever we travel. Over the years, our particular interest became more focused on Gothic cathedrals.
What is it about these church buildings from medieval times that makes them so addictive? Medieval churches are by their nature spiritual places, steeped in history, and hotbeds of religious passion. They all record the stories of people and events that began many hundreds of years ago. While that is true, only Gothic churches are complex, are full of light, have beautiful windows and decorative features, and have unique architecture.
